Job summary

New England College of Optometry in Boston seeks a Part-Time Night Cleaner to maintain campus facilities Monday to Friday from 6pm to 11pm (25 hours/week). This is an essential, non-exempt position with a $20.00 hourly rate.

Responsibilities include floor and rug cleaning, sanitizing restrooms, polishing furniture, moving furniture for college functions, and seasonal snow removal. Safety and lift requirements apply; uniforms provided; benefits available.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to perform the essential duties of the position.
• Must be able to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Must be able to interact and communicate with coworkers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Floor and rug cleaning; cleaning/restrooms and drinking fountains; polishing furniture; moving and setting up office furniture for college functions.
• Seasonal snow removal and operating cleaning equipment; cleaning to established schedules and safety rules.
• Report damages or needed maintenance; assist in furniture/equipment movement; respond to cleaning emergencies.
