Job summary

New England College of Optometry in Boston's Historic Back Bay seeks a professional and diligent Part-Time Night Cleaner to maintain campus facilities, equipment and surrounding grounds. The hourly rate is $20.00, with a schedule of Monday–Friday 6pm–11pm for 25 hours per week.

The role includes floor cleaning, restroom sanitation, furniture movement, seasonal snow removal, and adherence to safety rules including OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years related experience preferred.
• Must be physically able to perform the essential duties.
• Must be able to read, write and interpret safety documents in English (MSDS, manuals).
• Must interact effectively with coworkers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor maintenance using appropriate machines safely.
• Clean and sanitize rest rooms and drinking fountains.
• Move and arrange office furniture for events and operations.
• Respond to campus cleaning emergencies and urgent requests.
