Job summary

Impact is seeking an entry-level Bindery Operator I to join our Print Production team on the 2nd shift (3:30 PM to 12 AM, Monday - Friday). You will run basic bindery equipment, track jobs in Midnight/APT, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 6–12 months of related production experience, with basic mechanical aptitude. We offer competitive pay, health benefits, PTO, and ESOP participation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six to twelve months of related production/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to operate entry-level production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate entry-level bindery equipment (sheeters, cutters, jogging machines).
• Process jobs in/out using Midnight and APT for accurate production tracking.
• Follow SOPs, safety policies and quality guidelines.
• Review job tickets and samples to ensure specifications.
• Inspect output to verify quality standards.
• Make minor machine adjustments for alignment and cut accuracy.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Ensure all jobs have proper documentation and meet quality requirements.
• Communicate status, issues, and priorities during shift changes.
• Identify production issues, equipment malfunctions or quality concerns and report them.
• Load materials and thread forms, adjust feeds, speeds and controls as required.
• Maintain smooth workflow to meet daily goals and deadlines.
• Maintain knowledge of computer systems used on the floor.
• Keep work area clean, organized and safe per company standards.
• Assist with general bindery tasks as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
