Job summary

Impactconnects is seeking a Machine Operator/Bindery Operator I to operate entry-level bindery equipment and support efficient production of printed materials. The role requires following SOPs, safety guidelines, and maintaining quality and production standards on a daily basis.

We expect basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to read job tickets and production samples. The shift is 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, with a focus on precise documentation and collaboration with the Print

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six to twelve months of related experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate entry-level production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate entry-level bindery equipment including sheeters, cutters, and automatic jogging machines.
• Process jobs in and out using Midnight and APT operating system to ensure accurate production tracking.
• Follow all SOPs, safety policies, and quality control guidelines.
• Review job tickets and production samples to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
• Inspect production output to verify quality standards are met.
• Make minor machine adjustments to maintain alignment, cutting accuracy, and output quality.
• Complete all required production and quality control documentation.
• Ensure all jobs leaving the bindery have proper documentation and meet quality requirements.
• Communicate job status, issues, and priorities during shift changeovers.
• Identify production issues or quality concerns and report them to management or vendor.
• Load materials and thread forms into machines, adjusting feeds, speeds, and controls as required.
• Maintain a consistent workflow to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
• Maintain knowledge of computer systems and software required to complete tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment per SOPs.
• Assist with general bindery tasks to support department efficiency.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
