Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center at Lake Ariel is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for the evening shift (3pm - 11pm). You will manage daily residential operations, supervise and train staff, and ensure safety and compliance in a supportive recovery setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1 year in recovery, and strong leadership with empathy. On-site role with comprehensive benefits and a commitment to quality care in the Pocono region.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
One year of experience in recovery field preferred.
Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
In recovery, a minimum one-year period of sobriety required.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries.
Dignified, honest character modeling recovery principles.

Responsibilities

Manage all daily residential operations (intake, supervision, events, transport, food service, medications).
Train and support BHT team in operations and responsibilities.
Escalate concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm recovery environment.
Ensure client and BHT compliance with all rules, policies and procedures.
