Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for second and third shifts at our Eastern Shore residential facility. A valid driver’s license and CPR certification are required.

You will help manage daily operations, support a compassionate, recovery-focused environment, and ensure compliance with center policies. We value leadership, empathy, and the ability to set firm boundaries while fostering a dignified, supportive atmosphere for clients in recovery.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CPR certification required.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills a must.
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily residential operations (intake, supervision, events, transportation, meals, medications).
• Train and support BHT team in operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale to maintain a warm recovery environment.
• Ensure client and BHT compliance with Avenues rules, policies and procedures.
