Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Largo, FL is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for a 7pm-7am graveyard shift to supervise clients, maintain safety, and support treatment staff. The role requires transporting clients using the company van and ensuring timely arrival at activities.

Required: High School Diploma or GED, a Florida driver license, CPR and First Aid within 90 days, and at least 1 year in the treatment industry preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from High School or GED, with consideration for candidates lacking HS if they have 1 year of treatment experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience in the treatment industry preferred.
• Current and valid Florida Driver License; CPR and First Aid within 90 days of employment.
• Strong communication, observation and written skills; knowledge of patient confidentiality rules.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily and weekly structures for clients.
• Oversee clients and peer leaders; transport clients to appointments when needed.
• Utilize company van for client transportation and ensure timely arrivals.
• Explain and enforce facility rules to new admissions; orient new clients.
• Follow up on insurance claims and evaluate program quality.
• Facilitate communication with ancillary services and attend meetings.
• Build relationships with staff and physicians; adapt to changing work environments.
• Follow Infection Control Guidelines; report illness symptoms to Infection Control Designee.
• Provide a safe, therapeutic environment; administer self-administered meds when needed.
• Conduct Waived Tests and provide hourly rounds reports to Supervisor.
• Enforce client rules, report noncompliance, and address cultural considerations.
• Report suicidality/homicide concerns; respond to dual-diagnosis issues as needed.
