Job summary

Manatee County Government in Bradenton Beach and Holmes Beach is seeking a custodian to perform routine cleaning across multiple locations, including Coquina Beach and Manatee Beach. Work hours are Friday through Tuesday, 2:30pm to 11:00pm.

Starting hourly range is $15.45 to $19.31. The role requires at least one year of janitorial experience, ability to lift 15–44 lbs, and the ability to follow safety guidelines and report maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of janitorial or custodial work experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning processes, supplies, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness of assigned County offices and buildings.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and polish surfaces.
• Clean restrooms and fixtures; restock supplies and report repairs.
• Handle trash removal and maintain cleanliness under desks and furniture.
• May train or supervise others and assist with minor maintenance tasks.
• Follow safety procedures and use power tools and cleaners as required.
