Manatee County Government in Bradenton Beach and Holmes Beach is looking for a custodial worker to perform routine cleaning across county offices and outdoor facilities. The role requires lifting, use of cleaning materials, and occasional driving of light-duty trucks, with evenings and weekend shifts.

The position emphasizes safety, ability to follow instructions, and providing prompt service to coworkers and the public. Background checks may be required for secured areas.

Competenze

• Ability to read and write, understand and follow instructions.
• Familiar with power tools, equipment and professional materials used in custodial services.
• A valid Florida driver license may be required within 30 days of hire.

Mansioni

• Ensures the general cleanliness of assigned County offices and buildings.
• Sweeps, mops, polishes and vacuums floors of assigned offices and buildings.
• Washes walls, windows, ceiling vents, woodwork and mirrors; may climb ladders.
• Cleans all restrooms and fixtures; checks and stocks supplies; reports repairs.
• Removes trash; cleans desks, cabinets and furniture; may crawl under desks.
• Performs major cleaning operations such as floor stripping.
• May drive light duty trash trucks to dump.
• May set up displays or conference rooms.
• May act as lead person; provide training and guidance to others.
• Prepare reports and estimates for materials and preventative maintenance.
