Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Boston's Back Bay seeks a Street Bar Service Assistant to join The Newbury Boston. You will help maintain bar cleanliness, stock, and assist the bar team to ensure a seamless flow of service during shifts.

The role requires a friendly, guest-focused attitude, a willingness to work evenings, and solid communication with guests and coworkers. Training provided, and a comprehensive benefits package accompanies this full-time position.

Qualifications

• One year of previous experience in a similar role.
• Evening shift availability.
• Adequate communication skills: must be able to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers
• Patient in dealing with guests.

Responsibilities

• Request, pick, verify and put away all requisitions for liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks and food items used for the bar areas.
• Stock the bar areas with liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks, glassware and condiments.
• Develop a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar.
• Ensure that all side opening and closing duties are completed.
• Adopt a positive approach in dealing with guests problems and issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Attend to customer needs with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Operate and maintain bar equipment and tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
