Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Street Bar Service Assistant at The Newbury Boston. The role focuses on maintaining bar cleanliness, stocking supplies, developing product knowledge, and supporting the bar team to deliver a seamless, guest-first experience during every shift.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of similar experience, strong communication, and evening availability, with a courteous, proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• One year of previous experience in a similar role.
• Adequate communication skills; must communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Evening shift availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Request, pick, verify and put away all requisitions for liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks and food items used for the bar areas.
• Stock the bar areas with liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks, glassware and condiments.
• Develop a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar.
• Ensure that all side opening and closing duties are completed.
• Adopt a positive approach in dealing with guests problems and issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Attend to customer needs with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Operate and maintain bar equipment and tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
