Job summary

United States Cold Storage, Inc. is seeking an Operations Automation Associate for the 2nd shift in McDonough, GA. The role focuses on maintaining and optimizing automated warehouse systems, including WMS, WCS, and PLC integration, to ensure efficient cold-chain operations.

You will troubleshoot automation, collaborate with vendors, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives while upholding safety and quality standards across a high-volume facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Some technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand WMS, WCS and IT integration to support effective operations.
• Follow automated processes to support successful warehousing processes.
• Troubleshoot Electric Mechanical Controls.
• Optimize existing automated material handling equipment.
• Troubleshoot and understand Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs.
• Collaborate with vendors to investigate and implement solutions.
• Read, understand, and enforce safety procedures.
• Monitor WCS interface for faults and clear machine faults promptly.
• Possibly move products to resolve machine faults.
• Use WMS and WCS to troubleshoot automation errors.
• Consolidate pallets to achieve required pallet storage levels.
• Monitor missions and advise shift supervisors of conflicts.
• Escalate errors and outages between operations, vendor, and specialists.
• Ensure data integrity in WMS/WCS for execution.
• Perform preventative maintenance on automation equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement teams on warehouse automation.
• Pursue Automated Process Improvements and corrective actions.
• Maintain excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
