Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking an Assembler I for the 2:00pm to 10:30pm shift to perform sub-assembly and basic assembly tasks in our manufacturing facility. You will prepare work by studying instructions, reading blueprints, and gathering parts and tools.

You will also position parts by templates, assemble components, and assist in prototype projects while maintaining a safe environment and documenting production steps. This entry-level role offers growth within a global power grid solutions company.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development.
• 0-1 year experience in manufacturing.
• Able to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Able to read and interpret Drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Has basic computer skills.
• Able to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists, gathering parts and tools.
• Position parts and subassemblies by templates or measurements.
• Assemble components by inspecting connections and fastening parts.
• Assist in building prototypes and basic assembly projects.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and comply with procedures.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
• Train others in basic assembly tasks as needed.
• Inspect work and ensure it meets requirements before passing to next operation.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
