Job summary

Bombardier’s Learjet Inc is seeking a Structures Technician for the Evening Shift at the Hartford Service Center. You will troubleshoot, repair and modify aircraft structures, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and safety standards.

The role requires sheet metal repair experience and the ability to work in an on-site environment. You will participate in maintenance on customer aircraft, perform component removals/ installations and support off-site locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Training from a sheet metal aircraft technical school is required.
• At least 3 years of aircraft structural sheet metal repair/modification experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
• Own a basic set of hand tools and demonstrate tool inventory control.
• Ability to obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment (GSE) qualifications as required.
• Flexibility to work overtime including nonscheduled work days and holidays.
• Ability to work in seasonal/inclement weather and possibly outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.
• Fabricate or modify structural modifications on aircraft parts.
• Perform minor structural repairs on composite components either attached or detached.
• Assist in hidden damage inspection of aircraft structures.
• Assist with complex structural repairs on or off aircraft.
• Assist with aircraft component repair and removal/installation as required.
• Adhere to environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
• Operate ground support equipment as required.
