Job summary
Bombardier Transportation GmbH is seeking an experienced aircraft maintenance professional for the Hartford Service Center. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining customer aircraft, with emphasis on sheet metal repairs and structural modifications.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years of aviation structural sheet metal experience, the ability to read engineering drawings, and basic tool proficiency.
Qualifications
- You have training from a sheet metal aircraft technical school or equivalent schooling.
- Typically at least 3 years of aircraft structural sheet metal repair/modification experience.
- Ability to interpret mechanical engineering drawings and communicate status clearly.
- Own a basic set of hand tools and maintain inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.
- Fabricate or modify structural modifications on aircraft parts.
- Perform minor structural repairs on composite components, attached or detached.
- Assist in hidden damage inspections of aircraft structures.
- Assist with complex structural repairs on or off aircraft.
- Assist with aircraft component repair and component removals/ installations.
- Adhere to environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
