Job summary

Bombardier is seeking an experienced aircraft sheet metal technician to perform maintenance, repair and modification tasks on customer aircraft at our Hartford Service Center. You will rely on your training to inspect structures, fabricate components and work in a safe, compliant environment.

The role requires 3+ years of repair/modification experience, ability to interpret engineering drawings, effective communication, and readiness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Trained at a sheet metal aircraft technical school or equivalent.
• Typically 3+ years of aircraft structural sheet metal repair/modification experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication about aircraft status.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.
• Fabricate or modify structural parts as required.
• Perform minor repairs on composite components both attached and detached.
• Assist with hidden damage inspection of aircraft structures.
• Support complex structural repairs on or off aircraft.
