Job summary

Bombardier seeks a Structures Technician - Fabricator at the Hartford Service Center. You will fabricate and modify structural components, perform repairs, inspect and install components, and work from mechanical engineering drawings.

Requirements include 4+ years of structural fabrication experience, 1 year on corporate aircraft, Sheet Metal Aircraft Technician schooling, and ability to read drawings. Willingness to work overtime and outdoors; SIDA badge and hand tools may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of structural fabrication experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience on corporate aircraft.
• Completion of Sheet Metal Aircraft Technician School or equivalent training.
• Ability to interpret and work from mechanical engineering drawings.
• Ownership of a basic set of hand tools.
• Willingness to work unscheduled overtime, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work outdoors in seasonal and inclement weather conditions.
• Must obtain Ground Support Equipment (GSE) qualifications as required.
• Ability to obtain a SIDA badge, if applicable.
• Basic PC and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements and safety policies.
• Fabricate and modify structural components on aircraft.
• Inspect, repair, and remove/install aircraft components as required.
• Assist with wing removal and reinstallation and other maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with other maintenance disciplines.
