Job summary

EASTCONN is hiring a part-time English Language Learner teacher for adults at the Windham Community Learning Center (Tyler Square). Classes are multi-level and held Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 8:00 PM.

The ideal candidate has prior ELL teaching experience in adult education and is adept at multicultural, differentiated learning. A Bachelor's degree is required, along with CT Adult Education ESL certification or certifiable (#088 endorsement).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CT Adult Education ESL certified or certifiable (# 088 endorsement).
• Experience teaching ELL in Adult Education programs preferred.
• Multicultural and differentiated learning experience is valued.
• Evening class schedule: Mon & Wed 5:30–8:00 PM.
• Flexibility to work at multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Teach English Language Learner classes for adult students.
• Engage students with meaningful instruction and develop personalized, high-interest lessons.
• Deliver multi-level instruction in an evening class setting.
