Job summary

EASTCONN is hiring a part-time English Language Learner teacher for adults at the Windham Community Learning Center (Tyler Square). Classes are multi-level and held Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 8:00 PM.

The ideal candidate has prior ELL teaching experience in adult education and is adept at multicultural, differentiated learning. A Bachelor's degree is required, along with CT Adult Education ESL certification or certifiable (#088 endorsement).

Qualifications

• Experience teaching ELL in Adult Education programs preferred.
• Multicultural and differentiated learning experience is valued.
• Evening class schedule: Mon & Wed 5:30–8:00 PM.

We are currently recruiting for a part time English Language Learner Teacher for adults at EASTCONN's Windham Community Learning Center location (Tyler Square). Experience working in a technology-rich classroom setting preferred. He/she must be able to engage the students in meaningful instruction, developing personalized, high-interest lessons. Bachelor's degree required, as well as CT Adult Education ESL certified or certifiable (# 088 endorsement).

Flexibility to work at multiple sites preferred.

Established in 1980, under Connecticut General Statute 10-66a, EASTCONN is one of Connecticut's six, public, non-profit, Regional Educational Service Centers.
