Vita Education Services in Bucks County is hiring an Adult Evening ELL Instructor. The instructor will provide quality instruction to adults seeking to improve language skills for employment, citizenship, and further education.

Classes occur two evenings per week, with preparation time and in-class instruction, paid at $31 per hour. The role includes lesson planning, assessments, and collaboration with staff to support learner goals.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching ELL, preferably adults or young adults.
• Competency using teaching technology, Microsoft Office, and Google applications.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Maturity and sensitivity in dealing with a diverse student populations.
• PA child abuse, criminal, and FBI clearances within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Participates in student orientation and registration each term.
• Writes engaging lesson plans addressing mandated state standards and digital literacy.
• Uploads ESL lesson plans weekly to Vita’s Google drive.
• Assesses student progress and adjusts instruction accordingly.
• Monitors student progress and provides feedback.
• Teaches remotely when needed.
• Submits attendance biweekly and SDL reports as required.
