Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate structured recreational activities for residents.
• Develop a weekly activity calendar with diverse options based on resident interests and abilities.
• Coordinate supervised indoor/outdoor activities.
• Facilitate activities such as games, arts, fitness, outdoor recreation, themed evenings, holidays, and mindfulness.
• Encourage resident participation while respecting a resident's decision not to participate.
• Maintain professional boundaries with residents at all times.
• Monitor resident behavior and report safety concerns to appropriate staff.
• Follow facility procedures regarding supervision, elopement risk, emergencies, contraband, and prohibited items.
• Ensure activity areas and supplies are clean, organized, and safe.
• Maintain an inventory of recreational supplies and communicate needs to leadership.
• Coordinate evening recreational schedules around meals, clinical programming, medications, and other activities.
• Follow policies regarding confidentiality, resident rights, HIPAA, safety, infection control, boundaries, and incident reporting.
• Perform other activity-related duties as assigned.
