Job summary

River Park Senior Living seeks a part-time Activity Assistant to plan, develop and direct programs that support the spiritual, emotional, recreational and social well-being of residents on an individual basis. You will collaborate with staff, lead crafts and games, and help coordinate transportation and events to foster a warm, engaging living environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year experience working with elderly preferred.
• Creative aptitude for arts, crafts and games.

Responsibilities

• Set up and carry out activities as planned.
• Clean activity room between activities.
• Invite residents to activities and assist in getting them back to apartments.
• Attend Activity Planning meetings.
• Assist volunteers with activities.
• Transportation as needed.
• Observe residents for changes in condition and report to Activity Director.
• Assist with putting up and taking down of holiday themes.
• Notify care staff of nursing needs.
• Attend all staff meetings.
