Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred
• Experience in social services or creative activities is preferred
• Experience in geriatrics preferred
• Knowledge of working with diverse resident demographics is helpful
• CNA certification preferred or student in healthcare program
• BLS certification required or location-based requirement
• CPR training may be required within six months of hire
• Must meet Sanford driving policy and have valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Administers the monthly activity calendar and plans activities based on resident input
• Engages residents in age-appropriate activities including music, crafts and spiritual activities
• Participates in activities to support residents and maintain dignity and identity
• Assists with simple nursing procedures and transporting residents between rooms
• Assists with MDS/EPIC documentation
• Demonstrates leadership and strong communication skills
• Works autonomously while following written and verbal instructions
• Plans and oversees resource use and workflow processes
