Job summary

Gateway Pediatric Therapy, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician for Sterling Heights, MI (M-F 3:30pm-7:30pm). We provide home and clinic-based ABA services for children with autism and support families with personalized plans.

Qualifications

• Must communicate expressively and receptively both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to sit in a child size chair or on the floor; switch from standing to sitting quickly; walk, jog, or run quickly in the event of client elopement.
• This position requires bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Must be 18 years of age or older; must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED; must have a valid Driver License and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain instructional area throughout the session and at the conclusion of the session.
• Prepare and keep binder, stimuli, and needed materials accessible and organized.
• Dress appropriately and arrive on time for work with ample time to prepare for session.
• Complete all tasks associated with the completion of a session.
• Receive 1:1 and group supervision from supervisors through direct observation.
• Attend team meetings and scheduled trainings.
• Communicate professionally with coworkers and parents.
• Respond to internal communications within 24 hours.
• Deliver instruction following training and supervisor feedback.
• Collect, record, and analyze data per procedures.
• Maintain client privacy per HIPAA and company policies.
