Job summary

Gateway Pediatric Therapy is hiring a Behavior Technician for our Livonia area clinics. The role supports children with autism using evidence-based ABA principles, working in home and clinic settings with a collaborative family-focused approach.

We offer a clear career pathway, opportunities for promotion after 3 months to Lead or Senior Technician, and a competitive hourly wage with an evening shift premium after 4pm.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate expressively and receptively both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to sit in a child size chair or on the floor; switch from standing to sitting quickly; walk, jog, or run quickly in the event of client elopement.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain instructional area throughout the session and at the conclusion of the session.
• Prepare and keep binder, stimuli, and needed materials accessible and organized.
• Dress appropriately and arrive on time for work with ample time to prepare for session.
• Complete all tasks associated with the completion of a session.
• Receive 1:1 and group supervision from supervisors through direct observation.
• Attend team meetings and scheduled trainings.
• Communicate professionally with coworkers and parents.
• Maintain client privacy in accordance with HIPAA and Gateway policies.
