Job summary

Thrust Institute of Maintenance in Conroe, TX is seeking an Airframe & Powerplant Instructor for an evening, full-time program (Mon–Fri, 3:30 p.m.–12:00 a.m.). The role focuses on equipping aspiring aviation technicians with hands-on A&P skills and a strong maintenance foundation.

The candidate should have 3+ years of aviation maintenance experience, hold an FAA A&P certificate, and be proficient with instructional technology across traditional, online, and blended formats.

Qualifications

• Three years of proven Aviation Maintenance experience, including General Aviation and Part 121/135/145 experience.
• Hold a current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
• Computer literacy and the ability to use computer technology in classroom/lab instruction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clear and engaging instruction to students in airframe and powerplant topics.
• Design, sequence, and implement curriculum; develop, administer, and assess learning with formative and summative tools.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and course documentation; manage classroom facilities and lab activities.

FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate
