Job summary

Thrust Institute of Maintenance in Mesa, AZ seeks a qualified Airframe and Powerplant Instructor to join our faculty. You will deliver aviation maintenance instruction, guide student learning, and help students develop competency in airframe and powerplant systems, inspection, and repair.

Requirements include FAA Part 65 A&P certificate, at least three years of aviation maintenance experience, and proven ability to teach using diverse modalities.

Qualifications

• Three years of proven Aviation Maintenance experience including General Aviation, Part 121, Part 135, or Part 145 experience.
• Hold a current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
• Computer literacy for classroom/lab instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective and high‑quality instruction.
• Develop and refine department curriculum to maintain currency in pedagogy and content.
• Adopt new teaching methodologies as appropriate.
• Maintain office hours, turn in grades on time, meet assigned classes.
• Demonstrate a willingness to embrace and apply the school’s mission and diversity commitments.
• Manage the classroom facility and keep accurate attendance/grade records.
