Job summary

AIM is seeking experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to join our Phoenix campus as instructors. Deliver FAA Part 147-aligned curriculum and provide hands-on instruction to students preparing for careers as aircraft maintenance technicians.

This role welcomes A&P mechanics, aircraft mechanics, and aviation maintenance professionals who want to mentor and train the next generation in a classroom and hangar setting. Prior teaching experience is not required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate or otherwise be eligible for certification.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and aviation maintenance procedures.
• Interest in mentoring, coaching, and developing others.

Responsibilities

• Teach aircraft maintenance systems, procedures, and techniques in hands-on environments.
• Deliver FAA-aligned curriculum to prepare students for A&P certification.
• Demonstrate practical skills used by A&P mechanics and aviation technicians.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades and student progress records.
• Support curriculum updates and collaborate with program leadership.
• Create a structured, engaging, and safety-focused learning environment.
