Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• 5+ years hospital Patient Access experience required.
• Ability to supervise a minimum of 3–5 employees.
• Experience with training staff, conducting quality assurance analyses, and root cause problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Patient Access Manager and Lead Patient Access Coordinators.
• Cross-functionality with Financial, Bed Management coordinators, and hospital staff.
• Oversees scheduling, training, workflow, staff assignments, and coverage for evening and weekend Patient Registration staff.
• Carries out operational and management functions of the Patient Registration department as directed by the Director.
• Promotes effective working relationships and teamwork.
• Identifies operational issues and works with Manager to resolve them.
• Assists Director with staff evaluations and performance improvement initiatives.
• Assists in resolving patient concerns.
