Job summary

General Motors seeks a design engineer at the Warren Tech Center to develop design definitions, system layouts, and virtual vehicle integration solutions for electrification assemblies and components.

You will collaborate with engineering support teams, suppliers, and GM partners, using NX, Teamcenter, and Active Workspace to manage math data and review large vehicle assemblies with TCVis, contributing to high‑quality, timely math releases for RESS‑to‑vehicle integration.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience using NX with Teamcenter and Active Workspace to create, manage, and evaluate math data for advanced components, assemblies, and subsystems.
• Experience using TCVis to review large vehicle assemblies and support RESS-to-vehicle integration.
• Knowledge of the design and release process for automotive or mechanical components.

Responsibilities

• Develop math-based design solutions that meet subsystem and component requirements.
• Create, manage, evaluate, refine, and release math data for components and subsystems using NX, Teamcenter, and Active Workspace.
• Develop system layouts and integrate component designs into vehicle systems, including RESS-to-vehicle integration.
• Create and maintain criteria, sections, Hole Criteria files, and other design data.
• Apply design standards and manufacturability principles to component designs.
• Participate in design reviews and communicate solutions and recommendations.
