Job summary

General Motors is seeking an Engineering Group Manager to lead a team of software engineers focused on virtualization and SIL integration for propulsion thermal systems. You will guide development of virtual test environments at system and vehicle levels to support automotive software and calibration activities.

The role requires strong technical leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration with global teams to deliver scalable, state-of-the-art CoSimulation solutions while maintaining

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Software/Computer Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
10+ years hands-on experience in software or tools development.
Proficiency in embedded C, Python, and MATLAB/Simulink.
Experience with virtual ECU development and software-centric virtualization.
Familiarity with cloud computing architecture and CI/CD best practices.

Responsibilities

Lead a GM team of engineers and contractors for virtual ECU development and CoSimulation integration.
Mentor and grow the team, support career development and performance management.
Drive recruitment, staffing, and succession planning.
