Job summary

ALSO is seeking a Mechanical Hardware Test & Validation Engineer to validate low voltage electromechanical modules for the next generation of light EVs. You will develop test plans, execute tests, and analyze results, working closely with design, systems, and reliability engineers.

You’ll set up DAQ systems and sensors, document procedures, and communicate findings to stakeholders. Will travel to visit test vendors up to 15% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Hands-on experience with physical testing: setup, instrumentation, data recording and teardowns.
• Experience with data analysis using Python, MATLAB or similar.
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design, systems and reliability engineers to generate test plans and manage end-to-end execution, analysis, and reporting.
• Execute testing on low voltage electromechanical modules including performance verification, reliability, durability, and environmental tests with detailed documentation.
• Set up and operate test equipment (DAQs and sensors) to collect data across test conditions.
• Coordinate with 3rd party vendors, contract manufacturers and test facilities.
• Analyze results and prepare clear technical summaries of methodologies and conclusions.
