Job summary

ALSO is seeking a Staff Electrical Test Engineer in Manufacturing to lead EE module test strategies and data collection for new product launches. You will develop test coverage, work with design teams to enhance testability, and validate PCBAs and modules using automated systems.

You will guide test fixture development, collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers, and provide hands-on support for production lines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in planning and executing robust EE module test programs in factory environments.
• Experience delivering electronics solutions from concept to mass production.
• Knowledge of analog, digital, power electronics and RF test methods.
• Hands-on with oscilloscopes, power supplies, DAQs and automated test equipment.
• Proficiency in test automation tools and programming (Python, LabVIEW, C/C++).
• Experience with PCB debugging, soldering/rework and failure analysis.
• Familiarity with MES systems and manufacturing analytics; HALT/HASS reliability testing.

Responsibilities

• Strategize and execute EE module test procedures, equipment, and data collection for new product launches.
• Develop test requirements and coverage plans; collaborate with design engineering to improve testability.
• Specify, develop, and validate test systems for PCBAs, modules, and end products.
• Support test fixtures, jigs, interfaces and select critical components for measurements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to align test requirements and standardization.
• Provide hands-on support for production test lines and root-cause analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement in test yield, cycle time, and cost efficiency.
• Create test procedures, work instructions and operator training materials.
• Implement data collection and statistical analysis to monitor process capability and reliability.
