Job summary

ALSO is seeking a Vehicle Test Engineer to define and support reliability/durability and feature testing for our cutting-edge EV platform. You will work cross‑functionally with systems and sub‑systems teams to drive durability targets and fleet‑level validation activities.

You will help plan tests, ingest data, and define KPIs to gauge product use metrics. Responsibilities include vehicle integration, test equipment setup, and traceability with defect management.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Mechanical, Electrical, CS or related field.
• 5+ years in systems test engineering, vehicle testing, or durability testing.
• Experience with instrumentation and data collection (accelerometers, strain gauges, data loggers).
• Understanding of systems engineering processes and methods.
• Experience with vibration, shock, thermal cycling, high temp/humidity, corrosion tests.
• Experience with homologation and durability testing.
• JAMA for requirements management.
• Planning and organization tools (JIRA/Confluence).
• Knowledge of automotive comms CAN, CAN FD, SPI and Vector tools.
• Comfortable riding 2-wheeled vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive vehicle durability targets with cross‑functional teams.
• Support test planning and execution for fleet validation and edge-case testing.
• Help define KPIs to drive product use metrics.
• Assist vehicle integration and setup of measurement equipment.
• Lead vehicle-level testing for software features, performance and stability.
• Maintain traceability and support defect triage and management.
• Plan tests to identify and align with homologation topics.
