Job summary

ASTEMO INDIANA, INC. in Greenfield, IN is seeking an engineer to support inverter programs within the xEV Regional PE group. The role focuses on establishing equipment, processes, and quotations to meet product specs and customer requirements.

You will verify equipment safety, install alignment to specs, test online, and keep lines running to standards while troubleshooting issues. The job offers exposure to diverse manufacturing processes and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must have transportation to and from Greenfield, IN facility.
• Engineering or Technical degree or plan to attend post-secondary engineering/technical education.
• Able to make quick, accurate, data-driven decisions and apply strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy with PCs and manufacturing systems.
• Programming/coding experience (preferred).
• Experience in automotive industry and knowledge of EV components is a plus.
• Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, Control Plans (preferred).
• Experience in electronics manufacturing (preferred).
• CAD software proficiency (AutoCAD or equivalent).
• Familiarity with MS Project for project management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment specifications to produce products and align with regional requirements.
• Confirm that equipment is installed and meets required specifications.
• Ensure that equipment is safe to utilize for all associates.
• Confirm all product requirements are met through online testing, including daily/validation verification.
• Ensure the line runs according to standards and troubleshoot issues that arise.
• Design parts to improve operations and efficiency for the line.
• Write code for programs to improve safety and efficiency for line workers.
• Assist other departments in setting up testing trials/experiments and countermeasure activities.
