Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Design Coordinator to help design EV charging infrastructure within our Transportation Business Group.

You will work with electrical and civil teams to develop layouts, calculations, and construction documents for public, fleet, and workplace charging projects. The role emphasizes collaboration with utilities and project stakeholders, compliance with codes, and growth toward professional registration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Willingness to pursue professional registration.
• Experience with electrical design software and standards.
• Active participant in HDR's employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and design of EV charging infrastructure for public, fleet, and workplace charging.
• Assist senior electrical engineers with service sizing, calculations, one-line diagrams, and switchboard scheduling.
• Prepare schedules, conduit/feeder layouts, and design details.
• Conduct site visits and evaluate site constraints and constructability.
• Coordinate with utilities, engineers, and project teams through the design and construction phases.
• Provide construction-phase support and respond to RFIs and submittals.
