Job summary

EVgo is seeking an Engineer, Project Development to lead engineering deliverables and manage project coordination for fast-charging infrastructure projects. You will drive site feasibility through permitting and construction, applying electrical systems and utility knowledge to advance multiple projects on schedule.

You will collaborate with external engineering partners and internal teams, review technical documents, and ensure alignment with EVgo design standards. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years related experience, or advanced degree with some experience.
• Experience with NEC and local building codes; familiarity with electrical distribution requirements.
• Knowledge of permitting processes and utility coordination for infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Produce development engineering deliverables including site layouts, single-line diagrams, permitting packages, and cost estimates.
• Review engineering documents for quality and code compliance; ensure consistency with EVgo design standards.
• Read, interpret, and redline electrical drawings, utility design packages, zoning documents, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with external engineering partners for surveys and permit submittals; track deliverables and milestones.
• Maintain pipeline reporting and provide status updates; use Salesforce/Sitetracker for data management.
