Job summary
Avis Budget Group is seeking an on-site Automotive Technician in Texas with at least 3 years of automotive service and 2 years of Hybrid/EV OEM experience. The role involves diagnosing, repairing HVAC and high-voltage systems, software/firmware diagnostics, and ADAS calibration support.
Applicants should demonstrate safe high-voltage practices, OEM procedures, and the ability to work independently with strong documentation. Competitive hourly pay and benefits apply.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years automotive service experience.
- At least 2 years Hybrid or EV OEM experience.
- ASE certifications: L1, L2 and xEV required.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair HVAC systems and HV components.
- Perform axle, suspension, and steering repairs per OEM specs.
- Troubleshoot NVH concerns using structured diagnostic processes.
- Perform high-voltage system diagnostics and repairs.
- Execute high-voltage safety lockout/tagout procedures.
- Calibrate systems and perform post-repair testing.
- Thermal management tasks including EV coolant procedures.
- Diagnostics, software and firmware diagnostics across vehicle control modules.
- ADAS calibration support following OEM procedures.
