Job summary

EVgo is seeking a Senior Grid Integration Engineer to develop and execute grid integration strategies for its fast-growing charging network. You will lead cross-functional collaboration with utilities, regulators, and construction teams to enable scalable EV infrastructure.

You will analyze grid impacts, coordinate interconnection studies, and ensure compliance with electrical codes while guiding project milestones. Travel up to 20% is expected, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and utility operations.
• Experience with utility interconnection processes and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or Google Earth.
• Ability to travel up to 20% for site visits and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute grid integration strategies for EVgo charging infrastructure.
• Build and maintain partnerships with electric utilities and regulatory agencies.
• Lead utility infrastructure planning, including site feasibility and equipment requirements.
• Coordinate with construction teams, utilities, and vendors for project execution.
• Negotiate and execute interconnection agreements and coordinate engineering studies.
• Manage utility schedules and forecasting to support project milestones.
• Lead technical analyses and modeling to evaluate grid integration scenarios.
• Ensure project compliance with industry regulations and electrical codes.
