Blackwell Miami Inc seeks an experienced EV Fleet Technician for our Fort Lauderdale shop. This role focuses on high-voltage EV work across Rivian EDVs and electric vans, with diagnostic hours paid and a dedicated bay and lift provided.

You must have real hands-on EV experience, a solid grasp of high-voltage safety, and the ability to pinpoint faults before replacing parts. Own hand tools and a valid driver's license are required; EV certification is a plus.

• Brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems.
• PM service and DOT inspections.

EV Fleet Technician

We're looking for a tech who's already comfortable with EVs — high-voltage systems, battery packs, thermal management, real EV diagnostics. This isn't a spot where we bring someone up to speed. If you've got genuine hands-on EV experience and you can actually track down a fault instead of throwing parts at it, let's talk.

WE KNOW THE DRILL

Shops that claim to do EV work but stick you on brake jobs. No real high-voltage training, no proper PPE, no insulated tools. Diagnostic hours that never show up on your check. Locked-down dealer software you can't touch. Treated like the guy who handles "the weird cars" on the side.

That's not us.

HOW WE OPERATE

• EV work is the whole job here — Rivian EDVs and electric fleet vans, day in and day out
• Diagnostic time is paid time — that's what we're hiring you to do
• You get your own bay and lift
• Equipment's on us — scan tools, insulated hand tools, PPE, HV gear, subscriptions covered
• We keep your certifications current, on our dime
• Weekly pay
• Mechanical and electrical only, no body work
• The EV side of this fleet keeps expanding — this experience only gets more valuable

THE WORK

Electric commercial fleet — Rivian EDVs, electric delivery vans — alongside conventional light-duty trucks and box trucks.

• High-voltage diagnosis and repair
• Battery pack service, thermal management, charging system issues
• EV drivetrain, regenerative braking, electrical diagnostics
• Full A/C system work — diagnosis, leak detection, compressors, evac and recharge. South Florida heat makes this non-negotiable.
• Brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems
• PM service and DOT inspections
• Keep your write-ups short and to the point

WHAT WE NEED

• Real, hands-on EV experience — Rivian, Tesla, Ford Lightning, transit EVs, any combination
• Solid understanding of high-voltage safety, and you actually follow it
• You find the problem before you start replacing parts
• Reliable, shows up every day
• Own hand tools, valid driver's license
• EV certification is a plus, but real-world EV experience without the certificate works just as well

English or Spanish — either is fine.

SCHEDULE

Days, 6 days a week. Full-time, in person at our Fort Lauderdale shop.
