Job summary

Blackwell Miami Inc. is seeking an automotive diagnostic technician who can accurately diagnose problems rather than guess. The role focuses on A/C systems, electricals, and driveability for commercial fleet vehicles in a night-shift setting.

You will diagnose, leak-detect, evac and recharge A/C, and handle related mechanical work with your own tools. Expect weekly pay and a dedicated bay with a lift for each shift.

Qualifications

• Full A/C system knowledge required.
• ASE certification or 15 years in the trade.
• Own hand tools, valid driver's license.
• Fluency in English or Spanish.
• Ability to work solo overnight and reliably.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose driveability and electrical issues in fleet vehicles.
• Perform A/C diagnosis, leak detection, evac and recharge.
• Address brakes, suspension, steering and cooling systems as needed.
• Document findings clearly and concisely.
• Work overnight in a quiet shop environment with minimal interruptions.

We need someone who can actually diagnose a problem, not guess at it. If you know your way around A/C systems and you can find what's actually wrong with a vehicle, we want to talk.

WE GET IT

Waiting your turn for a lift. Sitting around for parts to show up. Doing the diagnostic work and not seeing a dime for it. Scan tool subscription that's dead half the time. Stuck doing oil changes while somebody else gets the real jobs.

THE JOB

Commercial fleet vehicles — delivery vans, box trucks, light-duty, and electric fleet vans including Rivian EDVs. Vehicles come in at night, go back out in the morning.

• Diagnostics — driveability issues, electrical, no-starts, intermittent problems
• A/C, start to finish — diagnosis, leak detection, compressors, evac and recharge. We're in South Florida, this matters.
• Brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems
PM service, DOT inspections
• Document what you find — keep it short and clear

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• You actually diagnose the problem instead of guessing and swapping parts
• Full A/C system knowledge — not just topping off refrigerant
• Can work solo overnight and shows up reliably
• Your own hand tools, valid driver's license
• ASE certified or 15 years in the trade — either works
• No EV experience? No problem — we'll get you high-voltage certified, on our dime
