Job summary

Blackwell Miami Inc. is seeking a seasoned diagnostic technician to locate vehicle faults without guesswork. You’ll handle driveability, electrical issues, and full A/C diagnostics for commercial fleets, with overnight shifts and a focus on mechanical work only.

Bring real diagnostic skill, full A/C expertise, and your own hand tools; ASE certification or 15 years of hands-on experience qualifies you. We’ll train for high-voltage EV certification at our expense.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics — driveability, electrical issues, no-starts, intermittent faults.
• Full A/C work — diagnosis, leak checks, compressors, evac and recharge.
• Brakes, suspension, steering, cooling.
• PM service and DOT inspections.
• Write it up clean and short — no need for a novel.

HOW WE OPERATE

• You get paid for diagnostic time — figuring it out is the actual job
• Your own lift for the whole shift
• If a part's backordered, we tell you first — no finding out on your own
• We cover the equipment — scan tools, A/C machine, specialty tools. Bring your own hand tools.
• Weekly paychecks
• Overnight means quiet — no customers, no ringing phones, no walk-ins
• No body work, mechanical only

THE WORK

Commercial fleet vehicles — delivery vans, box trucks, light-duty trucks, and electric fleet vans including Rivian EDVs. Vehicles arrive at night, roll back out in the morning.

• Diagnostics — driveability, electrical issues, no-starts, intermittent faults
• Full A/C work — diagnosis, leak checks, compressors, evac and recharge. It's Miami, this is core to the job.
• Brakes, suspension, steering, cooling
• PM service and DOT inspections
• Write it up clean and short — no need for a novel

WHAT YOU BRING

• Real diagnostic skill — you find the problem before you touch anything
• Full A/C system knowledge, not just a recharge
• Reliable, can handle working solo overnight
• Own hand tools and a valid driver's license
• ASE certified or 15 years of hands-on experience — either works
• New to EVs? We'll get you high-voltage certified, on our dime
