Job summary

RJI Search is seeking EV/AV Vehicle Technicians to perform hands-on maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for a fleet of test vehicles. You will work with the Shop Foreman and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and support continuous vehicle improvement in a fast-paced shop.

This role emphasizes electrical diagnostics, documentation of service work, and organization of tools and inventory. Nice-to-have experience includes R&D lab environments, CAN systems, wiring diagrams, and high voltage

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive technician experience in maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
• Ideally within a dealership or OEM environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with deep knowledge of vehicle systems, tools, parts, and repair techniques.
• Very comfortable performing automotive electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to document service work clearly and accurately.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass MVR, background check, and drug screening.
• Able to obtain forklift/gantry certification post-hire.

Job description

We are seeking EV/AV Vehicle Technicians with hands-on maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and fleet reworks for our clients fleet of vehicles. You will work closely with the Shop Foreman and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, coordinate repairs, diagnostics and repair electrical components, and support continuous vehicle improvement.

You’ll also help develop diagnostic test plans, maintain detailed service records, and keep the workshop organized, including tools and parts inventory. This is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where your work directly supports vehicle testing operations.

We’re looking for someone with automotive technician experience, strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, and a clean driving record who can manage multiple priorities in a hands-on shop setting.

Nice-to-have experience includes automotive R&D or lab environments, CAN systems, wiring diagrams, soldering, and trailer towing experience, along with relevant technical training or certifications.

Requirements

• High voltage battery experience or certification
