Job summary

Orange EV is seeking a Field Service Technician in Austin, TX to diagnose, repair, and analyze field data on local EV fleets. You will leverage remote monitoring and service records to develop effective service plans, work with customers and third-party providers, and perform field upgrades or retrofits as needed.

The role requires 1+ years in automotive/electrical industries, strong MS Office skills, and a customer-focused, analytical mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; related technical degree preferred.
• 1+ years’ experience in automotive or electrical industries.
• Travel as required for training and service.
• MS Office Suite experience (Excel, Word, TEAMS).
• Knowledge of principles and processes for superior customer service.
• Analytical approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Understand the vehicle at a systemic level to diagnose and repair.
• Represent Orange EV professionally.
• Use remote monitoring and service-record systems to plan service and prioritize customer needs.
• Record all service activity accurately in the system.
• Communicate with customers and third-party providers for diagnosis or escalation.
• Coordinate with site manager and electrician on charging infrastructure logistics.
• Evaluate conversion vehicle candidates and report on condition.
• Support customer technicians and third-party providers with repairs.
• Provide secure storage for tools and parts.
• Deliver operator and maintenance training and assist sales.
