Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Portland, OR is seeking an EV Field Service Technician to perform preventative maintenance, basic repairs, and diagnostics on Battery Electric Vehicles at customer sites. You will follow safety procedures and participate in training on Cummins EV products.

Under supervision, you will document services, develop field knowledge, and advance high-voltage safety and diagnostic skills through on-the-job and classroom training.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and complete service documentation.
• Willingness to learn EV systems and high-voltage safety through training.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on BEVs at customer sites.
• Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting under supervision.
• Maintain records of service activities and repairs.
• Adhere to safety policies including high-voltage safety procedures.
• Participate in ongoing training on Cummins EV products and technologies.
• Maintain own tools and follow established procedures.
