Job summary

Harbinger Motors is seeking a Field Quality Engineer - Vehicle Systems and Integration to join our field team in the United States. You will diagnose complex, cross-domain failures and translate field data into reliability improvements for next-generation EVs.

You'll collaborate with Service, Engineering, and Manufacturing to drive RCA/CAPA with hands-on troubleshooting, data analytics, and proactive reliability plans to ensure uptime and durability in real-world operation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Reliability Engineering (or equivalent experience).
3–10 years of experience in Field Quality, Reliability Engineering, or a highly technical Service Engineering role within the EV or automotive space.
Strong proficiency in data management tools (SQL, Python, or specialized BI platforms).
Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools (Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, CANalyzer/CANoe).
Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.

Responsibilities

Failure Analysis & Troubleshooting: Act as the primary technical expert for diagnosing complex, systemic issues across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
Predictive Reliability: Utilize predictive reliability analysis to identify potential failure modes in our fleet.
Product Reliability Engineering: Partner with hardware and software teams to implement reliability growth plans.
Data Management & Analytics: Own the feedback loop with field performance data and ensure clean, categorized data for engineering sprints.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Service, Engineering, and Manufacturing to close RCA and CAPA.
