Job summary

Harbinger Motors seeks a Battery Quality Engineer to ensure quality across battery components and assemblies throughout their life cycle. You will collaborate with suppliers, design, and production teams to define standards, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes data‑driven metrics, corrective actions, and supporting design reviews to mitigate risks in EV battery systems. Travel up to 30% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing quality or supplier quality engineering for batteries or related products.
• ASQ certifications (CQE, CQE, CQA) preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO-9001:2018 or IATF 16949 is highly desirable.
• Know-how of QMS, supplier/internal audits, APQP, SPC, PPAP, FMEA.

Responsibilities

• Monitor battery quality performance metrics and identify high‑impact issues.
• Lead root cause analyses and drive cross‑functional corrective actions.
• Implement continuous improvement and track action effectiveness.
• Develop data‑driven quality standards and inspection plans.
• Support design reviews to mitigate battery manufacturing risks.
• Lead MRB meetings and participate in ECR/ECN processes.
