Job summary
TE Connectivity is seeking a Sr R&D/Product Development Engineer to support the E-mobility product development team. You will tackle high voltage terminal and connector projects and guide solutions toward successful production, working as part of a Chinese product launch team to deliver manufacturing-ready designs.
You will collaborate with global resources and suppliers to meet TE's technical, quality, and cost objectives, while contributing to new product launches and manufacturing ramp
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering required; mechanical or electrical preferred.
- 3-5 years minimum product design/development experience.
- Fluent in Chinese and English.
- Automotive terminal and connector design/manufacturing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conceive ideas for new hybrid and electric vehicle connectivity products and bring them to practice.
- Gather voice of customer and develop product solutions with global manufacturing resources and suppliers.
- Adapt existing designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost improvements.
- Submit intellectual property information according to TE policy.
- Conduct feasibility studies and define testing requirements.
- Create product documentation including solid models, drawings, specs, DFMEAs, tolerances, and test plans.
