Job summary

TE Connectivity's Senior R&D/Product Development Engineer will lead and contribute to the creation of rugged, production-ready connector solutions for the ICT segment. You will translate customer needs into robust specifications, perform analyses, and drive design concepts from concept to market.

The role requires collaboration with OEMs and global teams, CAD modeling, DFMEA/PVPR/DVPR planning, and ensuring manufacturability and cost optimization in Winston-Salem, NC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years in progressive product development.
• Experience in commercial transportation/automotive connector design is preferred.
• Proficiency in precision part design for molding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to new product development with minimal supervision.
• Define and execute projects aligned to roadmaps.
• Create designs based on customer requirements using CAD tools.
• Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams to refine concepts.
• Perform engineering analyses including tolerance studies and FEA.
• Develop design concepts via sketches and 3D models; create EBOMs.
• Present designs to internal and external stakeholders during design reviews.
