Job summary

NYSERDA seeks an experienced, independent professional to join its Clean Transportation team as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager to lead design and delivery of programs advancing transportation electrification in New York State, working with public and private partners.

The role focuses on expanding electric vehicle charging installations, administering programs like Charge Ready NY and Drive Clean Rebate, and collaborating across NYSERDA and external stakeholders to drive equity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience for Project Manager.
• Experience managing complex projects in the clean transportation or clean energy space.
• Strong project management skills, with program design and process improvements.
• Subject matter expertise in transportation electrification, and a passion for issues related to clean transportation and equity.
• Demonstrated ability to independently and simultaneously manage a wide range of innovative and complex projects under deadline, including developing and managing workplans and budgets and overseeing consultant work products.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and manage work for both contractors and internal teams.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite; familiarity with Salesforce preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer the Charge Ready NY program and oversee contractors.
• Administer the Drive Clean Rebate program and budget.
• Coordinate with internal NYSERDA teams to execute contracts and scopes.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and address equity.
• Manage data collection and reporting on program activity.
• Build and maintain relationships with market stakeholders and partners.
• Represent NYSERDA in collaborative initiatives with other NYS and Federal agencies.
• Perform duties with respect, fairness, and inclusion.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
